A collection of informational and though-provoking reads as we navigate the pandemic covering India, the US, and international.
I’m currently in New Delhi, as the nationwide lockdown of India and its 1.3 billion people (a massive undertaking if there ever was one) has begun, but have been social distancing and inside for almost two weeks already. I’ve been reading a lot of excellent reporting and accounts on the Covid-19 pandemic and have privately been sharing it with the people close to me.
But I realize there’s A LOT of stories, accounts, information and also misinformation out there.
So here, I’m going to attempt to break through the clutter and do a roundup of what I’ve been reading as we all try to get through this. My hope is that it will be a daily set of articles across several verified sources, about India, the U.S. and the international community, but a spectrum from more scientific updates, evolving FAQs, Op-Eds, personal essays, data and graphs, photo essays.
For those of you just joining, I’m a journalist, based in the US and India. I mostly work on video, documentaries, immersive, and interactive visual storytelling. Formerly of @nytimes.
