About

The best published science/evidence, writing, and reporting about COVID-19 that my family, friends, and colleagues might appreciate

Welcome to my newsletter, “smart, useful, science stuff about COVID-19.” I curate it to include the best reporting, writing, and evidence about COVID-19 that I think my family, friends, and colleagues might appreciate. It’s a mix of practical and somewhat technical material. I limit each issue to ~6-8 links/stories/essays, with blurbs. I started it on March 11 using gmail and a bcc: distribution list, and I moved it to Substack on April 4. I write and send a new issue most days of the week. Feel free to visit my COVID-19 resources page too, with links to reported case-count sites, public-health guidance, and story fodder for journalists/writers: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IUV5Eivq2vj0-w9Eh1_pWKzAzlCtEerCFgY5kPCrC-k/edit?usp=sharing.

Not overwhelming -- a good amount of info and well-structured
I like that it comes every few days-- not overly-often. And I can expect it to have a roundup of key things I need to know, structured under headlines (like Public health, science, healthcare, etc) that make it easy to skim or read. It's also really easy to go deeper if I need to because the links are there; but often the summaries are just what I needed.
