While there were two clear clusters of terms (one around the mass shooting in the elementary school and the other around the Georgia gubernatorial primary), there was still a fair amount of diversity in the remaining terms. And I suppose it's no surprise that "monkeypox" has shot up in usage as more reports of its detection occur.

Newly Emerging Terms
- Uvalde... the city where another horrifying mass shooting occurred this week in an elementary school
- Perdue... As in David Perdue, backed by Trump, who lost the Georgia Governor's primary to Brian Kemp
- Davos... The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting is happening May 22-26
- Robb... As in Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, where nineteen children and two teachers were killed
- Albanese... As in Anthony Albanese, who was sworn in as prime minister of Australia on May 23 (he is also the first Italian Australian to become prime minister!)
- Stacey... As in Stacey Abrams (Georgia Democrat), who Brian Kemp will run against in November for governor
Biggest Increase in Usage from Previous Week
- monkeypox (>625%)... as in the disease which has recently been detected in the US and other non-endemic countries
- Kemp (>300%)... As in Brian Kemp, who beat David Perdue in the GA gubernatorial primary and will be up against Stacey Abrams in November
- elementary (~250%)... as in the Robb Elementary School mass shooting
- prayers (>225%)... mainly in reference to thoughts and prayers related to the school mass shooting
- Roger (~175%) ... various Rogers including Roger Angell, a great baseball writer, who passed away
- Abrams (>150%)... As in Stacey Abrams, see above
Most Used Terms
Note that these "Most Used" terms tend to be used very broadly, in lots of contexts... vs. the other "Emerging" and "Biggest Usage Increase" terms which are, as you can tell, quite narrow and likely more meaningful/interesting.
