Good day!

Normally we handpick newsletter issues by independent writers that provide new or unique perspectives... but our lead researcher/writer is on maternity leave so we are exploring newsletter content that isn't as time-intensive, like trending terms and some specifically-themed newsletters.

Thanks for sticking with us until our normal programming resumes!  And sorry our regular weekly cadence has been a bit irregular lately.

(And If someone forwarded you this and you'd like to subscribe, you can do that here -- thanks!)

Here's what's trending this week in newsletters...enjoy!

This week over 8000 issues came in…
Many of the top words used this week relate to the Met Gala or to the FBI/Nasser inquiry
(Click on any of the terms to learn more about them and read newsletter issues they're in)

  • Biles ... Simone Biles. Met Gala + FBI testimony. A busy week.

  • Milley … General Mark Milley, Joint Chief of Staff Chair

  • Nicki and Minaj … Nicki Minaj, her antivax tweets, and more

  • Nassar … Larry Nassar. The Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing this week on the FBI’s mishandling of gymnasts’ reports of Larry Nassar’s abuse.

Most Used Terms

  • world

  • work

  • life

  • learn

  • covid

  • future

Note that these "Most Used" terms tend to be used very broadly, in lots of contexts... vs. the other "Emerging" and "Biggest Usage Increase" terms which are, as you can tell, quite narrow and likely more meaningful/interesting.
