Good day!

Normally we handpick newsletter issues by independent writers that provide new or unique perspectives... but our lead researcher/writer is on maternity leave so we are exploring newsletter content that isn't as time-intensive, like trending terms and some specifically-themed newsletters.

Thanks for sticking with us until our normal programming resumes!  And sorry our regular weekly cadence has been a bit irregular lately.

(And If someone forwarded you this and you'd like to subscribe, you can do that here -- thanks!)

Here's what's trending this week in newsletters...enjoy!

This week over 7600 issues came in…
The top terms were pretty distributed in nature; no single event or person drove the majority of them.
(Click on any of the terms to learn more about them and read newsletter issues they're in)

Newly Emerging Terms

  • Astroworld... related to the tragedy that happened at Travis Scott's performance
  • daylight... mostly driven by daylight savings time references
  • Poland... related to the migrant crisis at the border with Belarus

Note that these "Most Used" terms tend to be used very broadly, in lots of contexts... vs. the other "Emerging" and "Biggest Usage Increase" terms which are, as you can tell, quite narrow and likely more meaningful/interesting.

Also, there was a bit of a kerfluffle with the last newsletter and it didn't go out... If you're curious about newly emerging terms and terms with the biggest increase for the week ending Oct 30th, here they are!
